Removal of any dirt and contaminants from both interior and exterior will ensure that your vehicle’s paint will not corrode (leading to rust), and that leather or upholstery damage does not occur due to mold and mildew formation. 

 Fresh oil and filter are vital prior to storage to prevent old oil from becoming acidic and corroding the inside of your vehicle’s engine. Fresh oil will take much longer to break down into contaminants ensuring the health of your engine seals. 

 Power steering fluid, tranny fluid and brake fluid top ups will eliminate the possible occurrence of condensation. 

The combination of adding a fuel stabilizer and filling the gas tank minimizes the airspace in the tank preventing both ethanol buildup and condensation forming in the gas and injection system during the storage. 

This strategy assists in the prevention of tire spotting and accounts for the 1 psi or so natural pressure loss per month.
